Bazley | Ifafa Beach | Mtwalume | Hibberdene | Umzumbe | Pumula | Bendigo | Sea Park | Umtentweni | Port Shepstone

For those seeking the serenity of nature, seemingly unexplored, quiet coves and sanctuaries are the perfect settings to rediscover oneself on relaxing sunny days.

Bazley, Ifafa, Elysium and Mtwalume are quiet coves a little off the beaten track. The beaches are clean and quiet, perfect for long strolls and lazy sunny days. Bazley’s rock pools are enticing, whilst the beautiful Ifafa lagoon is a must, the high southern bank providing an excellent spot for whale watching.

This area has an active bass fishing club, with well-stocked dams offering opportunities for the whole family to have fun. Mtwalume has a ski-boat launch and is well known for it’s excellent rock fishing. A little further south you will reach the bustling seaside village of Hibberdene, with it’s beach markets, and the first of the South Coast’s world-renowned Blue Flag beaches. Umzumbe and Pumula offer excellent beaches for all beach activities.

As you travel south through Sea Park and Umtentweni towards the bustling commercial centre of Port Shepstone, the coast becomes more developed with shops, restaurants and accommodation establishments a plenty...
