Just south of Ramsgate lies Southbroom, set in a cool and peaceful sub-tropical jungle alongside a deep lagoon. The beach is protected by a rocky point and offers great swimming and surfing conditions.

If you’re a golfer it doesn’t get much better than Southbroom Golf Course. Spectacular ocean views and the famous fourth hole offer some of the best whale and dolphin watching vantage points on the coast.

Marina Beach is yet another jewel in the South Coast’s crown with a beautiful Blue Flag beach and tidal pool. It lies just south of Southbroom, across another picture-perfect river and lagoon system. An endless string of hidden bays and coves north and south of Marina Beach provide further opportunities for exploring.

The KwaZulu-Natal South Coast is an exciting and rewarding birding venue. Birders visiting the KZN South Coast are advised to contact members of the Trogons Bird Club.

The Bushbuck Trail was established by Southbroom Conservancy. The trail is accessed through the parkland which adjoins the Southbroom Tennis Courts.
