INGELI FOREST LODGE

Ingeli Forest Lodge
Ingeli Forest Lodge is an ideal weekend retreat for families who want to get away from the bustle of the city, where a mixture of country living and quality accommodation go hand in hand.

We offer an attractive frequent stayers bonus: stay for a total of ten stays and get a free weekend for two on a bed and breakfast basis. Ask at reception when you arrive for details and for your frequent stayer card.

Ingeli Forest Lodge

Ingeli Forest Lodge’s spacious and comfortable rooms look out onto a tranquil forest setting.

All of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms, televisions, MNET, tea and coffee making facilities, undercover parking; and for those chilly winter nights… electric blankets and heaters.

We offer a wide variety of on-site activities for both our energetic and more laid back guests. Activities include:

• Tennis
• Swimming
• Hiking (many trails of various distances, starting just below the lodge)
• Bird-watching (many birding specials including the Narina Trogan and Cape Parrot can be spotted in the indigenous forest. There is also a Blue Swallow sanctuary nearby)
• Mountain Biking
• Darts
• Pool
• Various Board games

DSTV is also available in the TV lounge for the less adventurous types.

Bridge swing and abseiling at Oribi gorge (45 min away)

Game reserve at lake Eland (45 min away)

Browsing antique shops in East Griqualand (20 min)

For the real avid hiker, try our invigorating six hour hike into the indigenous forest with an overnight stay in Umsilo hut or the 8 hour walk to Forestside (a new secluded self-catering chalet, set in the heart of the Ingeli Mountains, which sleeps 15 people). You may want to try combining the Umsilo/Forestside trail or even the mountain bike trail to Forestside.
